Mrs. Wehrbein--Part IV--Hand Lettered Wedding

Welcome to Part 4 of the Mrs. Wehrbein wedding series! If you missed the first three parts you can find them here:

As I've mentioned on my About Me page and also in some posts, my side gig is hand lettering. I love to create custom pieces for people to keep in their homes, and recently I've been teaching a group of students how to hand letter! So fun! I wanted to bring this skill into our wedding decor.

1. I knew that I wanted to add a personal touch to our invitations--it's all about those details! So in order to accomplish this, I hand lettered the envelopes for our invitations. It was worth the effort, and I loved writing each guest's name.

2. I embossed these white, wooden hangers with my bridesmaids' names (and "Mrs." on mine!)--I have plans to create a post all about embossing! It's such a fun way to add a very polished finish on projects!

3. I hand lettered these seed packet envelopes with "Let Love Grow." The packets were full of flower seeds and used as our wedding favor. We had one packet on each place setting.

4. My sweet mama helped me with these! I couldn't have done it without her!

5. I drew our "logo" and the embellishments on our programs.

6. I hand lettered this chalkboard sign for the entry way at the church. I found the sign at Hobby Lobby and finished it off with some eucalyptus greenery and some vintage lace wrapped throughout! (again, those details!)

7. Once again with the help of my mom, we created these sweet confetti envelopes that fit right into our theme!

8. I loved how these signs turned out. On the back of our chairs we had "Better" and "Together" hanging with the same lace that wrapped my bouquet and greenery that tied in with the rest of the flowers. These signs hung in our bedroom at our little garden, level apartment. I'm not sure where we will hang them in our new house! So exciting!!

9. I created this menu board for our guests to see what was for dinner! I used an old picture that I found at a thrift store (I LOVED the frame!), I painted the glass with chalkboard paint, and then wrote out the words! I love how this turned out, and now I love using it in our home as decor!

10. I lettered the word "Reserved" on kraft paper for the family tables.

11. Here's another shot of those seed packets all put together with the place setting.

12. My most favorite wedding project, however, was for the rehearsal dinner. I created an anniversary sign for each family within our both of our families. I included their last name and the year they were married. I painted these on barn wood that Josh and I collected from one of his family barns. I loved being able to present these after the dinner--to say thank you and to represent the legacy of love Josh and I come from. Here's a picture of my apartment filled with signs!

All wrapped, stacked, and ready to go!

And look at this group! What a blessing! We even made them for our photographers and our caterer! It was such a blessing to us to be able to give these signs to those who mean so much to us!

Another thing I absolutely loved about these signs was getting to see where each family decided to put them!

There you have it-- Our hand lettered wedding! As I mentioned in Part 3 of this series, the details truly make a wedding memorable. I loved being able to add these hand lettered details to ours! If you're currently planning a wedding think about the special abilities or skills that you and your fiance have that you could use to make your wedding personal!

Next week, we will have a very special guest on the blog--my cousin Josey will be sharing with you about all things personal attendant! She was THE best! She was so organized, she thought ahead, and was always there when I needed something! I can't wait for you to read what she has to say!

grace & peace
Mairin
