Mrs. Wehrbein-- Part I--What we Wore
It's been almost a year since our beautiful (freezing) spring wedding! I put together this series so that I can 1) relive the magic of our wedding day, 2) showcase my beautiful friends Melissa and Aaron and their gorgeous pictures (check out their Facebook page!), and 3) maybe spark some ideas in your heads if you are currently planning a wedding!
The hair: I wore this beautiful piece in my hair, as well as a veil (pictured later). I found this hair piece on Etsy!
The dress: My wedding dress is from Ellynne Bridal in Lincoln, Nebraska. It is an Allure gown (style 2900). I love the illusion neckline, the simple lace bodice, and the full English netting skirt. So dreamy!
The shoes: Betsey Johnson jeweled ankle strap flats! They are from Betsey Johnson's "Blue" collection, so the soles of the shoes are a beautiful Tiffany blue! And just the right amount of sparkle!
The earrings: Also an Etsy find! I love these because they are elegant, yet simple. I didn't want to overdue it on jewelry and accessories, so I thought these simple studs worked perfectly!
The veil: My mother-in-law designs and alters wedding gowns, (you can learn all about her business, The Perfect Dress, here!) so she graciously created my veil (blusher included) and did the necessary changes to make my gown fit perfectly! Here's a stunning a shot of the veil!
The handkerchief: My sweet aunt used one of my late grandpa's hankies and embroidered my initials and our wedding date on it. I carried this down the aisle with my bouquet. Such a sweet, special keepsake. This was also my "Something Old."
The robes: My sweet bridesmaids and I wore these silky, floral robes as we were getting ready! I found them on Etsy, of course--and I think they look so pretty in pictures! We were freezing our tails off, but the shot was worth it!
The bridesmaid dresses: I knew I didn't want all the girls to wear the same dress, and I also didn't want them to wear the same color! So on the day we picked out my dress, we also got some fabric swatches that created a sort of ombre effect. Each girl used their swatch to find a dress that worked for them! I loved the way these dresses look together!
I'd love to know what you think! Or if you're currently planning a wedding, let me know if you would like more info about anything!
grace & peace
Mairin
